The Low Emission Zone (ZBE) of Zaragoza, following state climate change regulations, has been implemented to improve air quality and reduce noise pollution, especially in its historic center.
If you plan to drive or park in the Historic Center (Casco Histórico) of the Aragonese capital, here we explain everything you should know about the restrictions that came into force starting from December 01, 2025.
ZBE Area (Phase 1 - Historic Center)
The initially restricted zone corresponds to the Historic Center (Casco Histórico). The perimeter is delimited by the following streets (the perimeter boundary roads allow circulation):
Paseo Echegaray y Caballero
Calle San Vicente de Paúl
Coso
Plaza de España
Conde de Aranda
Mayoral
Plaza de Santo Domingo
Calle Ramón Celma
Operating and Restriction Schedule
Access restrictions apply during the following hours:
Days: Monday to Friday (working days).
Hours: From 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM.
Outside of these hours (nights, weekends, and holidays), any vehicle can access, circulate, and park without needing a special sticker (distintivo) or authorization.
Restricted Vehicles
These are vehicles that are not entitled to obtain any DGT environmental sticker (Etiqueta A). Generally, this includes:
Gasoline cars (turismos) registered before January 2001.
Diesel cars (turismos) registered before January 2006.
